JEN DELYTH originally from Wales, now living in San Francisco is known for her stunning illustrations of mythological concepts in a contemporary world. Her body of work spans an array of media including traditional egg tempera painting, oil painting, printmaking, textile design as well as computer illustration and multimedia animation.
Delyth has attained unprecedented success for her Celtic Designs which are widely published internationally. She has successfully produced CD and video productions of her works set to poetry and music available on her web site.
Delyth is featured in "New Visions in Celtic Art" Cassell, 1999.
"Expression using a visual medium is more gratifying than using words… within the geometry and the organic rhythmic curves of Celtic knotwork, there is a sense of profundity underlying the two dimensional abstractions. Using this design language, I weave Celtic patterns into original designs which communicate the spiritual nature of the symbol."
Recently Jen Delyth has been working on a book featuring her artwork and writing - to be published in Spring 2008. Her video “Beyond the Ninth Wave” fuses images from nature with Celtic illustrations, music and poetry. www.kelticdesigns.com
