Owl - Blodeuwedd

In Wales the owl is called Blodeuwedd - which means flower face. In the Welsh tale the ‘Mabinogion’, Blodeuwedd is magically created by magicians from stone and flowers for Llew. However, Blodeuwedd fell in love with the huntsman Gronw, and betrayed Llew, so Gwydion changed her into an owl, banishing her into the dark wooded night. The independant Blodeuewdd becomes wise all-seeing owl whose intuitive vision peers deep through our psyche.

Wilde Hares

The Hare is considered sacred amongst many ancient traditions, representing fertility and rebirth, associated with the moon, and the festivals of Spring.
Considered to be a royal animal, the warrior queen Boudicca released a Hare as a good omen before each battle with the Romans.
In earliest times killing and eating the Hare was taboo. Eostre - Goddess of Springtime (from whom we derive the name for Easter), was believed to have taken the form of a rabbit, or white hare, which is her totem creature.

Herne

Herne - also known as Cernunnos, is the ancient Lord of the Stags. His tree like antlers represent kingship of the Forests. Herne the Hunter is associated with the wild hunt in which spirits of the dead were carried to the Otherworld. The hunter identified with the stag — this is a very ancient mystery: hunter and hunted are one.

Hounds of Annwn

Cwn Annwn - the Hounds of Annwn - are a pack of

Otherworld. In Welsh folklore Arawn Lord of Annwn rides with his pack of
hounds through the skies in autumn, winter, and early spring.

Morrigan - Ravens

Ravens have a close affinity with the supernatural world. They are totem birds of the dark Celtic Goddesses the Badbh and the Morrigan, who possess the ability to appear as one or three beings and to shapeshift into Raven form. Appearing often throughout Celtic mythology, they feature in the Welsh stories of the Mabinogi.
